    Have you ever wanted to encourage a young student to consider a career in science, technology or engineering? Would you invest a few hours to support a child's interest in becoming an inventor or an entrepreneur?

    Please consider becoming a volunteer or a judge for the Connecticut Invention Convention (CIC), a nonprofit program. The CIC is an award winning statewide program for students from grades K-8 which enhances their critical thinking and problem-solving skills through a unique hands-on inventing curriculum. Of the estimated 17,000 students from 250 CT schools who participate annually in the program, approximately 700 of Connecticut's best young inventors will bring their inventions to this year's convention at UConn in Storrs. Volunteers are needed for registration and as floor monitors. Judges are needed to listen and review inventors' presentations and help determine over 250 prizes to be awarded.

    Our volunteers and judges include engineers, scientists, educators, attorneys, entrepreneurs, marketing and other professionals. No experience is necessary - -we provide training!
