Portfolio Resident Services offers on-site programming and resources at low income apartments. We aim to provide upward mobility for our residents while building community on-site. Through community partners, donations, volunteers, and on-site staff, we work to create a connected and thriving community at any low income apartments.
Mission: "Home is more than a floor plan. it’s an environment that’s shaped by people regardless of economics, and by promoting the idea of “community” we initiate transformation on a broad scale. This translates into a higher cash flow by reducing expenses and stabilizing occupancy". Portfolio Resident Services, Inc. (PRS) is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that improves the lives of families/individuals/seniors who reside at affordable (low to moderate income) apartment communities. Having modeled and refined resident services for over 19 years, and with its signature Good Neighbor Program, PRS has become the largest third-party provider in the nation. PRS currently serves over 240 properties throughout Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Colorado, and New Mexico represented by over than 40,000 apartment homes. Services range from youth oriented programs to seniors activities and include after school programs, adult education, financial literacy, computer skills, nutrition and exercise classes, community pride projects, and so much more. Currently 150 different programs exist making our on-site presence dynamic and relevant at any apartment community. At times we achieve our mission through collaborating with community outreach sources. We work with more than 75 organizations to provide our residents with benefits like utility assistance and back-to-school supplies. It is proven that these resources are far more effective when individuals are motivated to pursue them. We encourage residents to participate to improve their quality of life and strengthen their sense of community.
